The Nature Psyche, #9. Curious Crows

I can’t share the video here, but a pair of crows landed on this tree and began tearing off big, thick chunks of moss. I’m not sure what they were up to–they didn’t seem to find any food–but they were fun to watch, and reminded of the Robert Frost poem below. Crows are one of Nature’s most captivating tricksters, and we all need a little mischief every now and then to make us smile.

The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree

Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some
Of a day I had rued.
